Raila is the most untrustworthy politician today

On Wednesday 10th October 2007, Classic FM played a pre-recorded interview of Raila when he was interviewed by his friend Patrick Quarco owner of Kiss FM & Classic FM. In that interview several issues came up and one of the most critical was that he said that TRUST was the most important thing in politics. Do you hear that TRUST.

Raila is the same person who was called a dictator by his running mate Musalia Mudavadi(the goldenberg boy). Mudavadi was so angered by Raila's antics that he lost his composure and called him a dictator.

When talking about trust, he conveniently forgot about all the politicians and people whose trust he has broken. Here is a list of his Trust related ills. (please send me any additions to update this list).

1. He conned Kenyans - especially luos - who contributed cash to revive the molasses plant, but which was later sold to foreigners but were never paid back any dividends. The mollases plant actually became his family's business and not a public enterprise as he had promised.

2. He betrayed the NARC government by being greedy. After being appointed a minister as the MOU stated, he got greedy and wanted more at the expense of kenya's development. When it was obvious that even after the constitution was changed, he might not get the Prime Minister post without elections because parliament would have had to be dissolved, he created chaos within the party so that he could blame his colleagues who continued working. That is why Charity Ngilu never joined him in leaving government at that time.

3. In the same interview at Classic FM, he denied ever being involved in the 1982 attempted coup. This is in the face of the glaring fact that he has admitted to the same in his biography which he wrote himself.

4. Presidents Kenyatta, Moi and Kibaki have all distruted him. Moi and Kibaki have even worked with him and become his mortal enemies after that experience. Surely, if 2 leaders have been unable to work with him, shouldn't Kenyans distrust him completely.

5. He finally admitted that he will not do anything different with regards to past corruption evils legally. The most he will do is to create a truth and reconcilliation commission. I am wondering, is this because his family also benefitted from the Goldernberg money?

6. In the interview he stated that there was no MOU in ODM. This is in the face of the fact that ODM has made agreements with individuals like Charity Ngilu whose party will not be challenged by ODM candidates and whose party is not joining ODM like all others have done. Is this not an agreement. Ngilu has also been offered the health ministry as well as a couple of other posts for her party.

Raila is a liar and not a person to be trusted. Share this blog with all your friends so that they can make an informed decision of not believeing in him anymore.
